Mark Fulop MA, MPH

I bring to my consulting firm over 18 years experience working with numerous agencies in the nonprofit, government and private sector.  The focus of my career has been managing  performance improvement and organizational change initiatives. Whether it is reorganizing programs in trouble, helping organizations grow stronger, or even building community approaches to complex problems, I work on the front lines helping groups, organizations and communities bridge the gap between where they are today and where they aspire to be tomorrow.

Among other positions, my professional career includes serving as Partnership and Development Director for Reclaiming Futures National Program Office; Program Supervisor for Service, Education and Policy Programs at the Multnomah County Health Environmental Health Services; Director of the National Mentoring Center; Department Director managing the National Service Resource Center, National Service Learning Clearinghouse and the Tobacco Education Clearinghouse of California; and Co-Director of California College Health.

I  also believe in giving back to the community and serve as Board Chair for Resolutions Northwest, a Portland-based community mediation center and I serve as a Partner with Social Venture Partners Portland.

My practice foundations have been forged by my experience coupled with education that includes two Masters Degrees.  One degree is a Masters in Public Health with a focus on community health promotion and education.  The second degree is a Masters of Arts in Educational Technology with a focus on instructional design and performance technology. Together, these degrees provide core skills in organization development, program planning and evaluation and community organization. Over the years, I have taken several facilitation course and workshops, studied mediation over a one-year internship and have taken numerous communication and diversity trainings.

Directed a program through a significant period of growth, doubling program revenues from $2 million to over $4 million over a two and a half year period and conversely have managed the turn-around of a regional project where predecessors in the organization mismanaged program resources,

Expertise in the nonprofit sector and youth development, health and affordable housing, youth mentoring, national service, alcohol and drug prevention, tobacco control, HIV prevention, and childhood immunizations and even managed a green re-building project.
